Skipton Youth Dance: Weekly Sessions
Mondays (starting 29th April 2019)
5:30 - 6:45pm
11- 18 years

£5 per session
Skipton Youth Dance will run as weekly workshops in Contemporary & Creative Dance every Monday in term time.
The workshops will be high-energy and designed to get you moving, learning and creating, led by experienced Dance Artists, Katy Hewison & Zanna Dennis.
Skipton Youth Dance will create new performance work which will be performed at a variety of local and regional events.

Get to know Katy & Zanna
Katy Hewison is a dance artist from Yorkshire who makes work using improvisation and dance theatre, as well as delivering dance workshops for all ages and performing for other artists such as Vanessa Grasse and Northern Rascals.
She is a graduate of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) BPA & Verve programmes and regularly teaches for NSCD’s Youth Company and Learning & Participation department, Northern Ballet’s Start Programme and Global English Theatre Company in Primary Schools in Italy.
Katy is very excited to be a part of Rural Steps alongside Zanna with Skipton Youth Dance to bring playful, imaginative and physically exciting, soulful, powerful fun dancing to the next generation of young people in Skipton.
Zanna is a part-time farmer, cheese enthusiast, loves a healthy house beat and is passionate about people and dancing!
Zanna trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and went onto pursue a Freelance career delivering dance in a wide variety of community and educational settings.
In 2015 Zanna joined forces with fellow Dance Artist, Sarah Hall, to form Blue Moose Dance Company, uniting their joint interests of community engagement and performance work, promoting excellence and innovation in the arts by delivering high quality dance experiences across Lancashire and Yorkshire. Since 2016, Zanna has successful delivered Ingleton Youth Dance with performances at UDance NW @ The Lowry, Salford & BIG Up North Dance Festival @ The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster.
Zanna is hugely excited for the launch of Skipton Youth Dance and is looking forward to meeting you!
All Skipton Youth Dance Artist hold DBS Clearance, Public Liability Insurance & Safeguarding Training Certification.
All Artists follow Yorkshire Dance's Code of Conduct, Safe Guarding & Health & Safety Policies.
