Fun-filled and high-energy dance classes for young children aged 4-7 in Ingleton exploring Contemporary Dance, specialising in creating performance work. Aimed at dancers who love to dance, perform and be creative!

Ingleton Young Dancers is designed to support young people who love to be creative! Different to traditional dance classes, we support children to work with their own ideas, imagination and energy to create dances they love as a way to develop their confidence and expression. We support them to improve physical skills, develop balance, coordination and stamina but also encourage problem solving, teamwork and creative thinking as key skills for life. The group regular create and share performance work.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing covering all body parts. Bare feet.

Summer term dates: 15th April – 20th May and 3rd June – 8th July 2026

About IYD

Ingleton Youth Dance was founded in 2016 to offer young dancers aged 11 – 18 years in Ingleton and the surrounding area the chance to develop their dance technique, creativity, and leadership skills by producing super awesome, high-quality performance work!
Our Youth-Led and Person-Centred approach allows each young person to grow, flourish and be empowered to reach their potential.

All performance work is created in collaboration with our young people; exploring themes, topics & issues relevant to young people today – enabling the Company to be a voice for Youth and the Arts in our area, empowering them to tell their story!
Ingleton Youth Dance regularly tour their performance work locally and across the region. Ingleton Youth Dance attend workshops with other Youth Dance Companies and Professional Dance Artists, to expand their experience and knowledge of the wider Arts sector.
