<p>In September 2021 we commenced on a two year research project, funded by <a href="https://www.phf.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Paul Hamlyn Foundation</a>, entitled from HEAD to TOE and everything inbetween. We are collaborating with 6 Primary Schools across Lancashire to explore the role of the creative moving body and dance in learning and retaining knowledge within literacy and maths at Key Stage 2. </p>

<p>The project is an exciting new avenue for Blue Moose Dance; taking the wealth of knowledge and experience we have of delviering dance in schools and exploring how this works in a new context and format, in a classroom setting, within a curriculum framework and for teachers to explore and embed in their own practice. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.bluemoosedance.org.uk/meet-the-team/">Sarah Hall and Sarah Gough</a> are the Lead Artists in the project, working with teachers and support staff from <a href="https://www.st-josephs-kirkham.lancs.sch.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">St Josephs Primary School</a>, <a href="https://www.pilling-st-johns.lancs.sch.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Pilling St John&#8217;s Primary School</a>, <a href="https://www.chaucer.lancs.sch.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Chaucer Community Primary School</a>, <a href="https://www.stalmineprimary.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Stalmine Primary School </a>and <a href="https://www.nateby.lancs.sch.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nateby Primary School</a>. </p>
